Porthcurno Beach

Head to the far west of Cornwall to discover the small town of Porthcurno and the soft, powdery-white sands of Porthcurno Beach. Turquoise waters backed by sheltering cliffs make for a gentle and visually pleasing swimming beach, so don’t be surprised if you see a lot of families enjoying the sand and sea in the summer months. There’s arguably not a more scenic place in all of England to kick off your flip flops and take a cool dip in the summer months.

Getting There

You can arrive at the Newquay Airport. You can take a bus to Newquay from the airport. They have a service for the buses to the city every four hours or you can rent a car. From the Newquay bus station you can take another bus to Penzance which is a 1 hour ride from Newquay. After arriving at Penzance you can hail a local bus to Porthcurno the valley else you can also rent a car from Newquay and ride straight to the beach which is a one hour drive from Newquay city. North America can take a direct flight from Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal to London from where they can easily get a direct flight to Newquay Airport. European travellers can easily get a train to Newquay city and continue their journey from there.
