La Pelosa Beach, located on the northwest coast of Sardinia in the area called Stintino, is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The beach is protected by a shallow bay, making the waters calm and ideal for swimming and relaxing in the water. Its unique setting, with views of the iconic 16th-century Torre della Pelosa tower and the small island of Piana, adds to its unique charm. While it does become busy in high season the beach is regulated in best efforts to preserve the beautiful nature and surroundings.

Look for days where the wind will be blowing from behind the beach towards the water, as well as days with little to no wind.

HIGH SEASON
High season peaks in July and August, and La Pelosa is much busier during those months than it is at other times of the year. June and September are a great compromise with less crowds and excellent weather.

CALM SEAS
The Mediterranean is much calmer from June through October, which is the best time of year to visit La Pelosa.

Due to the popularity of European beaches in summer, we recommend visiting La Pelosa faily early in the morning to enjoy it without it being very crowded.
